It's three a.m.
I'm waking up
to the sound of his ringtone
ringing on my phone.
He called because he's drunk
and he needs a ride home.
But we both know
that's not all he wants.
It's that late night call again.
The one I just can't help but pick up.
I know what I'm getting myself into,
but I just can't seem to stop.
He's got the kinda hold on me
that's just too hard to give up.
His girlfriend isn't home.
He says "Trust me, she'll never know."
Oh, she'll never know.
That I'm the one...
Oh, that I'm the one lying
in their sheets with him each night.
Oh, she'll never know.
Because by morning,
I'm already long gone.
It's that late night call again.
The one I just can't help but pick up.
I know what I'm getting myself into,
but I just can't seem to stop.
He's got the kinda hold on me
that's just too hard to give up.
He says he's gonna leave her.
Everyday he tells me he's gonna leave her.
Only we both know he won't.
He's in love with her,
but I'm in love with him.
He'll never leave her.
I'll never leave him.
Oh, he'll never leave her,
and I'll never leave him.
It's that late night call again.
The one I just can't help but pick up.
I know what I'm getting myself into,
but I just can't seem to stop.
He's got the kinda hold on me
that's just too hard to give up.
It's his late night call again.
(And I'll never give him up.)
It's his late night call again
(And I'll never hang up.)
It's his late night call again.
(And he'll never give her up.)
